From 8 to 10 December 2009, the software industry got together in Sindelfingen at the second German-language convention focusing exclusively on embedded software engineering. Embedded software engineers could enhance their skills in a wide range of 90 presentations and 10 workshops, and developers, researchers and managers were offered the perfect platform to exchange information and know-how.
With almost 600 participants and a fully booked exhibition, the second Embedded Software Engineering Kongress was a huge success. A total of 260 companies and universities participated as consultants, visitors, presenters, moderators, sponsors and exhibitors. Axivion and Green Hills Software were our Gold Sponsors. IBM, Wind River, MicroConsult and ELEKTRONIKPRAXIS sponsored the entertainment programs, and Prof. Peter Liggesmeyer from Fraunhofer Institut IESE presented a fantastic keynote. The advisory council, composed of representatives of the Universities of Braunschweig, Bremen, Clausthal and Regensburg as well as company representatives from Axivion, Continental, Green Hills, Renesas and Rohde&Schwarz guaranteed top quality of the selected papers. As many as 100 presenters shared their know-how in presentations and compact seminars. Participant feedback confirmed the high professional level.
